In Carmel Valley, life is a banquet--and an international one at that. Here can be found some of the best trained chefs in the world. Menus are created using the fresh produce grown in the Valley itself, and seafood caught right off-shore. Because of Carmel Valley's gentle climate, many restaurants have seating outdoors, on terraces, and in gardens. Hilltop dining with a view of the whole valley is one of many options for a leisurely Sunday Brunch. And some of the best deli food can be found in the Valley, great for a quick repast under the shade of an umbrella or to take along on a picnic at Carmel River's edge. |

What are Carmel Valley farm animals doing in Carmel-by-the-Sea? Well, Greg and Cynthia, owners of Friar Tuck's restaurant, wanted to make a point about the fact that they serve the "freshest of fresh foods" at their restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea (by the Old Post Office). And, yes, much of the produce comes from Carmel Valley. And, no, these cute critters are NOT on the menu!
