Paul Wilson has been sculpting in metal, stone and wood for over 40 years, much of the time combining a career in internal medicine with sculpting.
He opened a working studio in Carmel Highlands in 1970 and in 1974 started the original Highlands Sculpture Gallery on Highway One.
In recent years he has been working with wood and stone collected in the Big Sur canyons and the Santa Cruz Mountains. This "sculpture in harmony with nature," much of it larger landscape installations, is in collections throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.
Wilson currently maintains a working studio in the historic Farm Center Hall in Carmel Valley, California.
